This passage from the book of Sirach is a reminder to all of us – at one time or another – find ourselves in a kind of darkness; when the world makes no sense, and our works and prayers seem futile. It is at these precise moments the true depth of our faith is tested. Let us call out to the Lord in these moments, convicted of God’s love for us…Lord, we trust in you.
___
An Act of Faith:
O my God,
I firmly believe that you are one God
in three divine Persons,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
I believe that your divine son became man,
died for our sins,
and that he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe these and all the truths
which the holy Catholic Church teaches,
because you who have revealed them,
who can neither deceive nor be deceived.
Amen.
Thank you for the beautiful post! I prayed that Act of Faith to God! Thank you!
