Lenten Challenge: What if you had Lazarus lying at your door:

“There was a rich man who dressed in purple garments and fine linen and dined sumptuously each day.
And lying at his door was a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who would gladly have eaten his fill of the scraps that fell from the rich man’s table.
Dogs even used to come and lick his sores…”

What would you do in the rich man’s place?
Is Lazarus at your door today? Your bus stop? Your grocery store?
This is such a great question…I’d love to think that I would gladly bring Lazarus in and tend to his wounds and ease his pain. I do know that I have encountered other Lazarus-types that don’t have outward sores but spiritual and/or emotional wounds and I’ve not acted as I should. Thanks for making me think :)
